RIAC In Conversation event with Sir Lloyd Dorfman

RIAC In Conversation event with Sir Lloyd Dorfman

More than 60 RIAC members came together recently for a special ‘In Conversation’ event with Sir Lloyd Dorfman, Chair of Royal Ballet and Opera.

It was fabulous to hear from Sir Lloyd about his many years’ experience as an arts & culture trustee and the lessons learned along the way. Many of the attendees were new arts & culture trustees, or next gen professionals considering trusteeship in the arts, and it was inspiring to hear about the rewards and challenges of trusteeship.

Top takeaway: trusteeship is a form of “mental aerobics” which helps to keep your mind active!

Huge thanks to Sir Lloyd for giving his time for this event, to McKinsey and Company for hosting us in their stunning Bower Gallery, and to RIAC Chair Anna Rowe for asking the all-important questions.

If you’d like to attend similar events in the future, make sure you’re signed up with RIAC as interested in a trusteeship, and you’ll receive invitations to exciting events like this from day 1 as part of our network.
