RIAC match: Giulia Magnani & Carducci Music Trust - February 2024
RIAC has recently made a match between trader Giulia Magnani, who joins the board of the Carducci Music Trust. Working with the world-renowned Carducci String Quartet, the Carducci Music Trust aims to inspire the musicians and audiences of the future by taking live music into schools and providing opportunities for young musicians.
Giulia is a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs and this is her first trustee position. She says: “Arts and Culture are my personal hideout and a perfect complement to my hectic life on the trading floor. I am very appreciative of what this sector and the Carducci Music Trust are doing to help communities in the UK, i.e. making arts and music accessible to everyone and involving kids and younger generations. I am really excited to bring my skills on the table and contribute hands on to a thriving community.”
Penny Wright, chair of the Trust says: “When we needed to recruit a new Trustee to fill a particular gap on our Board, we worked with RIAC to identify the skills we were looking for and were then introduced to Giulia, who we are now looking forward to working with enormously. RIAC provided great support during the appointment process, and we will all benefit from their ongoing mentoring. This has been a really productive and helpful process, thank you.”
Giulia will be mentored in her new role by Janis Susskind, who is Managing Director of Boosey & Hawkes as well as Interim Chair of Britten Sinfonia and a Trustee of London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Opera House, and Britten Pears Arts
