RIAC match: Chineyere Ogbue with The Paper Birds Theatre Company

We’re excited to have matched Chinyere Ogbue with The Paper Birds – a devising theatre company, with a social and political agenda, whose vision is to provoke change, one encounter at a time.

Chinyere is Head of Workforce Development at One Dance UK and this is her first trustee position. She says “The RIAC process has been seamless from start to finish. I got in touch with RIAC, still hesitant about the idea of being a Trustee (hello, Imposter Syndrome), and Cecile was patient and kind in explaining the process to me. I was fortunate to have been matched with an excellent organisation like The Paper Birds on the first try. I am excited to continue the important work of Access and Inclusion in my Trustee position.”

Jemma McDonnell, co-founder and co-director of Paper Birds adds: “We are delighted to have Chinyere join our board of trustees. RIAC took the time to listen to the company, the unique opportunities and challenges we were facing and match us with Chinyere who can support the company and bring new expertise and energy to the board. We feel very lucky to have been offered such a bespoke service and as a result met Chinyere who can broaden and strengthen our governance”.

Chinyere will be mentored in her new role by Jonathan Norbury, who has many years’ of board experience in the theatre sector, including The Old Vic.
